Southwest Edmonton Real Estate:
Community of Carter Crest

Carter Crest is a well-established community near the picturesque Whitemud Creek Ravine in beautiful Southwest Edmonton. The Carter Crest Neighbourhood Structure Plan was adopted by the Greater Riverbend area in 1989, with most residential development taking place in the 1990s. The design of the community was carefully thought out to blend in seamlessly with the surrounding neighbourhoods through quiet streets, sidewalks, and pathways. Carter Crest was named after Robert Carter, a Canadian government agent who provided advice to Americans on immigrating to Canada. Carter resided on Riverside Farm, now part of Terwillegar Park, in the early 1900s. He later moved to Strathcona, where he served on the council for rural affairs.
